READING CAMP

Reading Camp is a Summer Reading School Programme carefully packaged for children with the following objectives;

1. To make children practice the act of reading personally. In the camp, they will read for a specified number of hours daily.
2. To breed positive and improved value of Reading to the children and interact with other children.
3. To improve their reading skills and make them a lifelong reader.

The Reading Camp is a 3 day event where children come to the camp venue every morning and leaves in the evening. It is scheduled to hold between 9 am to 5 pm.

Activities in the camp include, Reading Skills, Group Reading, Speed Reading, Various Reading and Knowledge Competitions, Brain Tugs, Stick and Read, Interactive Sessions with Authors, Parents and Relevant Stakeholders, Mentors Chat, Reading Assessments, Games etc.

The programme is packaged in a way to make the Holiday a memorable learning experience for all the participants. Proposed Date is Thursday August 16^th to Saturday August 18^th, 2012.

The age range of children expected is children between ages 8 through 15.

Adequate facilities that will promote visual learning and group discussions shall be promoted. All the participants will get a T-shirt of the programme.
